This is a general overview of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) options available. Please note that these are the most common options, but not the only options.

Google Analytics: This requires you to set up a Google account (free) and then generate a code for us to implement into your site. Then you will be able to view the traffic that comes to your site with useful information like where they are coming from and which page do they leave from.

META Info: During the training process we show where to place your META descriptions and keywords and we also discuss the relevance of this information plus best practices.

SEF (search engine friendly URLs): Once your site is live we turn on SEF. This will change your URLs to a friendly URL that search engines will read and like better.

Search Engine Submission: We submit your site’s URL to the most used search engines on the web at the time of your site launching.
These include:

  • Google
  • Yahoo
  • Bing
  • Ask.com

PPC or CPC(pay-per-click or cost-per-click)

Here are a few of the options that are available for you to submit your site that will place your site in search engine returns based off of certain user search criteria. These require you to create accounts and management time.

Lycos (Hotbot and Ask Sponsored Links)
They charge on a Charge-per-Click basis:
Global minimum = $0.05 - where there is no reserve price established. The minimum CPC may be higher than the global minimum to ensure placement.

MSN Search:
They will charge you $5 via credit card. This is a non-refundable sign up fee. Then, you set up a monthly budget according to how much you want to spend.

LookSmart
CPC , you set your own budget after signing up. This site is not a search engine. They distribute your site to numerous other search engines in which your ad will appear.

Google AdWords:
You create ads and choose keywords, which are words or phrases related to your business. The keywords that you choose have a cost associated with them. When people search on Google using one of your keywords, your ad may appear next to the search results. There is a 5.00 start up cost and then you choose your keywords and set your monthly budget.
