This assumes you need to create a menu link to a website or webpage that isn’t part of your site. A common use would be to link to a Facebook page, or your WordPress blog.
You can also use the URL menu link to a shopping cart search result. Link to Search Results
Create a menu link to a URL – (another site, Facebook, or your blog):
1) Open the Main Menu editor
note: do not select “Menu Manager”… select “mainmenu”
2) Select New (top right corner of page)
3) Clickt to select the link type. Choose “Link-Url” in the lower left.
4) Fill out the Link Details:

Name (a short, accurate name is best)

Link (including http://) – copy the URL of the page to link to, and paste it here.

On Click, Open in: (Most URL links should be “New Window with Browser“). note: if you are linking to a page within your site, select “Parent Window”… if you are linking to pages outside your site, select “New Window with Browser”.

Parent Item (if you want the menu link to be a drop-menu item under another main menu link, select the existing link as the parent)
5) Click Save (top right corner of page)
